Privacy & Data Use
INDUSTRIES Taiwan Magazine serves U.S. corporate buyers sourcing from Taiwan industry, and offers a Chinese-language subscription page for Taiwan exporters. We follow the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) and Taiwan's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA). This notice applies both frameworks in full.
What we collect
- Newsletter and briefing signups — email, job title, company (optional), opt-in time. Stored until you unsubscribe.
- Lead-source attribution — referral URL, UTM parameters on first visit. Used to improve our publishing mix; never sold.
- Aggregate analytics — anonymized page views, session duration, and referrers, only after you opt in via the consent banner.
- Marketing platforms — LinkedIn Insight Tag and HubSpot fire only after opt-in. We do not run Meta Pixel or third-party ad networks.
- Embedded content — charts, video, and maps inside briefings. None loads until you opt in.
We do not intentionally collect special-category data (PDPA Art. 6) or "sensitive personal information." Please do not submit such data.
Why we use it (PDPA Art. 19/20)
We process your data only for these specific purposes: to send the newsletters/briefings you opted into (on the basis of your consent); to improve our content mix; for site security and operation; and for consented analytics and marketing measurement. We will seek fresh consent before any materially different use.
Cookies, tracking & consent
Strictly necessary cookies are always on. Any non-essential analytics or marketing technology loads only after you opt in for its category. Change your choices any time via the "Privacy preferences" link in the footer. We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal as a valid CCPA opt-out of "sale"/"sharing."
Who we share with
We do not sell your personal data and do not "share" it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We disclose only to: processors acting on our instructions (Cloudflare for hosting/edge; ListMonk and its sending provider for newsletters); professional advisers or authorities where legally required; and a successor entity in a reorganization, subject to this notice.
Cross-border transfer (PDPA Art. 21)
INDUSTRIES Taiwan Magazine is published in Taiwan but hosted in the United States (Cloudflare Pages, US region) because the audience is U.S. corporate buyers. Personal data submitted to this site is processed and stored in the United States.

Your rights
Taiwan residents (PDPA Art. 3): you may inquire about and review your data, request a copy, supplement/correct it, demand we cease collecting/processing/using it, and demand deletion. These rights cannot be waived in advance; we respond within a reasonable period.
California residents (CCPA/CPRA): you may know, delete, correct, opt out of "sale"/"sharing" (we do neither, but you may register the preference, including via GPC), and not be discriminated against for exercising your rights. We respond to verifiable requests within 45 days. You may use an authorized agent.
